Emergency

The trailer storing all of Frontiers instruments was found broken into in and most of our bugles were stolen.

At this point, we are considering that this would be a good time to convert from G horns to Bb horns.

We would be very appreciative of any donations to replace our instruments so that we can return to the field in 2012. For your convenience, we've added a PayPal link to the top of the right column.

We would also be grateful for any corps or organization willing and able to do so to loan or donate instruments. If they are playable, we can use them. If this is something you can do, please email the director at director@frontiercorps.org and we'll back to you quickly.

All-Age? I thought 22 was...

What is an All-Age drum & bugle corps?

Many Texas drum corps fans and performers became aware of the drum corps activity by watching a junior corps (under the age of 22) perform at a DCI event.

However, many people are discovering that there are drum & bugle corps throughout the nation and the world that do not have an age restriction. These corps are called 'all-age' drum & bugle corps and most compete within the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) circuit. Some all-age corps, including Frontier, also compete in DCI's new All-Age Division.

All-age corps pride themselves on delivering...and work very hard to achieve... high-quality and entertaining shows. Since all-age corps typically rehearse and perform on weekends, members can maintain their work, school, and family commitments. Most all-age corps staff are or have been directly involved with the junior corps activity as well. All-age corps is a great way for high school students to gain performance experience and drum corps skills before trying out for a DCI corps. Frontier has sent members to DCI corps such as the Madison Scouts, Blue Stars, and Capitol Regiment.
